Seriously, I feel like 2015 flew by! Here we are already into the first full week of 2016, and it’s crazy to me! Nontheless, 2015 was a great year. Filled with ups and downs, tears, giggles, snuggles, and grins.
My girls both decided to drop dance and gymnastics and try something new. Lila is loving horse back riding and wants to get even more serious and hopefully start competing soon! She has always had such a heart for all animals, but has a special place for horses. We are having so much fun with our little equestrian. 🙂
My spunky little Libby has entered the world of competitive cheerleading! It’s crazy, it’s intense, but so far, it’s been great for her. The funny thing is, I NEVER thought we’d be doing this…but it really is a great sport and has taught her so much about teamwork and dedication, and she’s only been doing it for 5 months! Her first competition is in 2 weeks, excitement and nerves have definitely set in!
And as for my boy…what can I say? He’s brought so much to our family that we didn’t even know we needed! He was the greatest surprise we ever received! When I think back over the last year, it’s somewhat bittersweet. I watched my last baby start his journey into toddler hood…and you know, that really is kind of hard. As much fun as he is now, it’s still a tiny bit sad to know that he’s the last baby.
But let me tell you, he has turned into the most adorable, sweetest little guy ever. Everybody told me, “oh there’s something about boys and their mamas” and it’s so true. He melts my heart. But there’s also something to be said about boys and their big sisters…they love each other so much…and that REALLY melts my heart!
Also, bittersweet is that my girls are growing up so much, and so fast. I love watching the little ladies that they are slowly becoming. They are both so kind hearted and loving (not always to each other!!). But how can it be that my baby girls are about to turn 9 and 7? Those are big girl ages! What happened to the little girls that played princess and watched Sophia the First?
Every age is fun and full of surprises, though. So in 2016 I’ll try to embrace every new challenge and hold onto every moment with these three, because time truly does fly!
And not to forget about my husband…we had a big year too. We celebrated our 10 year anniversary! Sometimes I really do feel like I’m still 22 then I pinch myself and I say, oh yeah…I’m married with three kids!! Seriously, where does it go???
We went to Punta Cana for our anniversary trip and had an amazing time.
In December, we were lucky enough to go on an industry trip to Aruba and it was perfect. It was our first time there, and we both said we’d love to be able to go back someday…like tomorrow…ha!
In June my sister/best friend moved across the country to Denver! It was a great change for her, but we miss her dearly. We visited in September, and my girls said they want her stay so we can go visit more!
However, when she came home for Christmas, we all begged her to move back! We miss you Gump!!
2015 was a beautiful year for us, the Lord continues to bless me more than I deserve, and I am so very thankful. Here’s to another great year in 2016!
Wishing everyone a year full of love, health, and happiness!
